Bathroom vanities have been removed and all wood materials must be encapsulated due to the nature of the material. If the wood has been mold impacted then the wood must be removed as well. In this case it wasn’t.
Visible water damage and mold growth in this bathroom resulted in removing the mold impacted materials.
More evidence of mold removal needed to insure a safe environment for this family.
Another completed Mold Abatement project and now this bathroom is ready for a mold clearance inspection.
Containing the mold impacted area is just as important as removing it properly.
The laundry room is another area of the home that can become problematic due to work leaks. The mold removal in this laundry room required us to remove the drywall from floor to 3ft high behind the machines.
Mold Abatement was also required on the adjacent walls throughout the laundry room and encapsulation was completed to the porous concrete walls.
The concrete floor, walls and metal studs were encapsulated to guarantee mold removal procedures were performed correctly.
The non-mold impacted areas were contained so not to cross containment the “clean” areas.
Mold removal was completed to this wall, then micro-cleaned and encapsulated.
Another mold removal project completed!
After a bad storm several areas of this home had severe water intrusion resulting in mold damage. This is the primary bedroom. Mold remediation was performed throughout the house.
The ceiling was covered in mold and the entire ceiling drywall had to be removed and micro cleaned.
This is another section of the ceiling covered in mold that had to be abated and micro cleaned to make the home a safe environment.
The primary bathroom also withstood water damaged and mold impacted materials had to be removed and the entire bathroom micro cleaned.
The ceiling in this secondary bedroom didn’t fall in but due to water entry and humidity, mold growth occurred and mold impacted materials had to be removed.
The situation was the same for the baby nursery. A mold bloom occurred and all mold impacted materials had to be removed and the entire dwelling micro cleaned.
This is an example of how mold growth can damage your entire home when water intrusion occurs. Here is an image of mold impacted materials throughout the hallway leading into the main areas.
It is imperative to make your home water tight and remove all mold impacted materials throughout your home.
All the mold removal must be completed using containments, under negative pressure/air scrubbers and micro cleaning must be done using HEPA air filters.
All the walls and ceilings had to be removed due to mold damaged building materials (drywall) throughout the primary bedroom. Mold removal should always be done by a mold professional.
Per the mold inspection report, the inspector did not identify mold behind the kitchen cabinets or walls therefore the cabinets were not removed and no evidence of mold impacted materials were identified.
Mold remediation is in progress, once completed, we always recommend a third party company inspect our work to insure all mold impacted materials are removed and your environment is safe for your family.
This image is of a mold damaged HVAC stand. The HVAC was removed and the mold damage is now visible.
The mold abatement is being performed so rebuilding can begin.
Micro cleaning the remaining building materials is imperative to mold removal.
After mold removal is completed, always perform a mold clearance testing to insure proper work.
A water leak was detected during a mold inspection of the bathroom it resulted in visible mold identified in the vanities. The vanities had to be removed and discarded.

This was our first foray into the world of mold in the home after owning homes for 50 years. As we were preparing to put our condo on the market, after sitting empty for 4 months, we discovered mold in several places.
